just received today and still learning about it. It linked to my iphone 4s easily, and the included program (for mac and PC ) worked easily on my iMac.
I transfered my phonebook from my iphone, then used the DPF mate program to load the pictures i wanted to link to the phone numbers (it didn't autoload the pictures already linked to them on my phone)
Directions were readable, and using the programs and controls was easy.
so far I don't have the slide show working, and it doesn't see text messages (from the iphone). I'm still working on this and will update later.
The plastic band isn't very comfortable, but the band can be changed (LITTLE screws hold the band pins in place). This unit isn't waterproof, but I'm happy with it so far....
Digital format without picture (one clock option) has very large numbers i can read without my glasses :-)
Battery life is still unknown.

Can't get it to show texts (on iPhone), messages or calendar alerts (tested just to see).
I DID get slide show pictures access to work.
It looks like (for a iPhone 4s) it just is a picture ID wrist warning for incoming calls. AND a warning that you left your phone (see day 3) behind.

battery life is good. runs all day with lots to spare. if you get about 20 feet from the phone it vibrates like crazy and show a big icon that bluetooth is out of range!
when loading pictures, make sure to eject it (as a drive) before unplugging from the computer. I didn't and once it scrambled some of the phone numbers. Easy to reload, but the pictures all had to be relinked to the numbers again....

I bought one directly from WIMM in November, 2011. At the time, they were $299, and California residents had sales tax and shipping tacked on as well. So first, know that at $199 and with Prime shipping (if you've got it), this is really a great deal!

While WIMM is cautious to say this is a "developer preview" product, at $199, I'd be happy to recommend it to people who like to have the latest cool gadget. Out of the box, it does some nifty things most will appreciate, like linking to your phone to display incoming text messages and caller ID. For me that's a great feature when I'm walking the dog a few miles and don't want to take my phone out of my pocket unless it's important.

In the WIMM forums, there is a growing vibrant community of developers and even some adventurous end-user types. As of today, we're all eagerly awaiting the beta launch of WIMMs micro-app store. But for now, there are quite a few apps to try in the forums, and the developers who are making them are generally pretty responsive.

The watchband isn't going to impress the fashion police, for now, but it's pretty workable. I'm actually hopeful that some manufacturer will start making the bracket and watchband in many colors at a $20 or $30 price point so I can match my sneakers. I have a small collection, mostly Nike SBs, and I like to coordinate!

But what attracted me to this watch was the ability to develop watchfaces and other micro-apps for it. It runs Android 2.1, and will soon be upgraded to 2.3. If you've written an Android app for a phone or tablet, you'll have no problem leveraging what you know and building apps for the WIMM platform. The toughest hurdles are keeping your micro-app simple and focussed, and picking projects that are suited to the form factor. You can check out my watchfaces at Alltock.com.

The WiMM is a great piece of gear. It is a gadget that is fairly unobtrusive but very useful. The bimodal always on display means that you can have key information available to you with just a glance no reaching into your pocket to get out a phone. The software is what makes the device, people have been making "smart" watches for years now but the WiMM is something different. Having a 667MHz processor running Android in your wrist opens the door to new possibilities. If you add an accelerometer, a GPS, WiFi connectivity, and several other sensors and communication capatilities, you just have to admit it is pretty cool.

I've had a WIMM One for several months now, and have also been hacking out some applications. Developers are now working on new apps, which is what makes this device stand out. Quickly checking the calendar, keeping track of the push-ups in the gym, paying for the coffee in Starbucks, checking when the next bus arrives or catching up on the news while the bus arrives are just some of the possibilities.

I bought one directly from WIMM in November, 2011. At the time, they were $299, and California residents had sales tax and shipping tacked on as well. So first, know that at $199 and with Prime shipping (if you've got it), this is really a great deal!

While WIMM is cautious to say this is a "developer preview" product, at $199, I'd be happy to recommend it to people who like to have the latest cool gadget. Out of the box, it does some nifty things most will appreciate, like linking to your phone to display incoming text messages and caller ID. For me that's a great feature when I'm walking the dog a few miles and don't want to take my phone out of my pocket unless it's important.

In the WIMM forums, there is a growing vibrant community of developers and even some adventurous end-user types. As of today, we're all eagerly awaiting the beta launch of WIMMs micro-app store. But for now, there are quite a few apps to try in the forums, and the developers who are making them are generally pretty responsive.

The watchband isn't going to impress the fashion police, for now, but it's pretty workable. I'm actually hopeful that some manufacturer will start making the bracket and watchband in many colors at a $20 or $30 price point so I can match my sneakers. I have a small collection, mostly Nike SBs, and I like to coordinate!

But what attracted me to this watch was the ability to develop watchfaces and other micro-apps for it. It runs Android 2.1, and will soon be upgraded to 2.3. If you've written an Android app for a phone or tablet, you'll have no problem leveraging what you know and building apps for the WIMM platform. The toughest hurdles are keeping your micro-app simple and focussed, and picking projects that are suited to the form factor. You can check out my watchfaces at Alltock.com.

The WiMM is a great piece of gear. It is a gadget that is fairly unobtrusive but very useful. The bimodal always on display means that you can have key information available to you with just a glance no reaching into your pocket to get out a phone. The software is what makes the device, people have been making "smart" watches for years now but the WiMM is something different.
